Paris & Surroundings

During your three weeks in Paris (and maybe more!), you should take advantage of the beautiful places in and outside of Paris and take part in events!

July 21th, 2013 | Arrival of the "Tour de France" on the Champs Elysées! more info here. A little road stage, the shortest of the Tour (120 km). But it will no doubt be an apotheosis, with the traditional finish on the Champs-Élysées. Always the same, always magnificent since 1975. We already know more or less what will happen: a festive start in Rambouillet, two short hours before things really get going, and then a sudden, spectacular acceleration to mark the peloton’s arrival in the Parisian circuit.

To easily access musems, exhibitions, etc. you can purchase a special Pass (the Paris Museum Pass). This pass will give you free entry, without queuing and as many times as you wish, to over 60 museums and monuments in and around Paris. The more you visit, the more you save. You can find all information here!

You can find additional useful links here:

  • Paris official website on information for tourism (exhibitions, music, events, practical information, etc.)
  • "14 juillet" Event (Bastille Day): Bastille Day is the French national holiday which is celebrated each year on July 14th. In France, it is formally called La Fête Nationale (The National Celebration) and commonly le quatorze juillet (the fourteenth of July): Military Parade on the Champs-Elysées, Fireworks at the Eiffel Tower, etc. The day before, 13 July, you could join the popular event of "Bal des pompiers" and the "Bal populaire" at the Bastille.

Wonderful Exhibitions:

For exhibitions, we encourage you to buy online tickets before going.
